The past couple months, I have been having very slow upload speeds (anywhere between 100 Kbps to 2 Mbps) that are intermittent. There doesn't seem to be any specific time that these occur. When this is happening, my download speed stays high. Specifically the download speed is very slow while the upload speeds seems to be unaffected. This is only a problem with the physical Ethernet link, and wireless seems to be working just fine. Speed test (Ethernet).
Hi all,
First time poster on these forums so hello.
I've most recently been noticing problems with my download speeds. I am on Time Warner's Road Runner SoCal service at 15/1 plan. I am just plugged in thru my Linksys CM100 modem. Internet browsing is fine but downloading anything is next to impossible. I did run a Malware scan with nothing infected. I have talked to tech support a few times and all they do is keep pointing me to their in network speed test site. On their site I am getting speeds as advertised. Of course when I bring up doing other speed tests elsewhere, they keep saying 'our tests are what you should be looking at' . I keep thinking to myself 'how is it that their speed tests are great but yet downloading any file or streaming video completely sucks now but didn't a week ago?'. They have refreshed the signal a few times and yet the problem still persists. Nodes in the area are currently fine. Right now I am very frustrated with no one being able to help me. Anyway, here are the stats below. Hoping someone here can lend a hand!

The past couple months, I have been having very slow upload speeds (anywhere between 100 Kbps to 2 Mbps) that are intermittent. There doesn't seem to be any specific time that these occur. When this is happening, my download speed stays high. Re: Fast upload speed, super slow download speed I spent months with fast speeds and then my downloads speeds fell off a cliff (0.24 MB/s download with regular 5.5 MB/s upload). I later figured out that the splitter I had to divide the cable coming off the wall was the problem.
